AT&T Business Fiber

AT&T now offers Internet access at speeds up to 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps) as a service called AT&T Business Fiber.

Lit Buildings

AT&T Business Fiber, as its name implies, is delivered over fiber optic cable. If AT&T has already installed fiber optic cable to your building, AT&T Business Fiber may be available.

Configurations

The service can be ordered as symmetric or asymmetric service. In symmetric service, the upstream speed and the downstream speed are the same. If you have one or more servers at your location, you could benefit from symmetric service because it provides more capacity for transmitting data from your server(s) to remote users. Also, both static and dynamic IP addresses are available.

Fixed Speed

Unlike DSL and U-Verse services, the speed is fixed with AT&T Business Fiber. With DSL, the minimum speed is typically 50% of the maximum speed. So, for example, with 6 Mbps DSL service, the actual speed may vary from 3.1 Mbps to 6 Mbps. With 300 Mbps AT&T Business Fiber, the actual speed is 300 Mbps. See AT&T Speed Tiers for details.
